Parents, have we got a class for you…..

“Blades of Glory” is specifically designed as a great entry point for kids to begin developing skating skills while having fun on the ice!  Getting kids on the ice to learn how to skate is a definite New England skill that all kids should know. Do you remember the days on the pond learning to skate and getting some fresh air?   Well, we are offering the next best thing!

Now for the “icing” on the cake! (pun intended), the Rec. is privileged to have our very own staff member, Brittney Redlick; 2016 Graduate from U.N.H. and member of the Women’s Division 1 Hockey Team;  leading this program. Brittney has been skating since she was 2 years old and is passionate about teaching more kids how to skate.   Not only will the kids get the chance to skate with her for the afternoon, she will be offering a 30 minute/week instructional session.  During the 5 week session Brittney will be teaching the kids the basic components of skating which are key to a successful skater/hockey player. The main focus for the five weeks will include: the forward stride, skating backwards, proper stance, stopping, and turning. Brittney will work with your child individually based on their skill level. We can’t stress this enough on what an incredible opportunity this is for our community.

We ONLY have 13 spots available so don’t wait!
